by Second 2 Nature Taxidermy Supply with Craig Jones 1¾ Hrs
Craig starts with a short breast incision and skins the Owl. He removes the leg bones and skull. Washing the Owl is shown along with explaining the parts not shown. Craig carves a skull out of foam. He fills the legs with sawdust and mounts the bird using a urethane bird body connecting the wings, legs and foam skull. The Owl is positioned on a stump and then Craig begins the finishing process of setting the eyes, pinning the beak, wings and talons in place and lightly wrapping the body with twine to hold the feathers in place to dry.
