by Second 2 Nature Taxidermy Supply with Dan Chase & Tommy Ramage 1¾ Hrs
Dan starts by showing how to remove the cape from the head and horns by using the “short sew cut” or “Y cut” method. This part is shown on an Antelope. He then shows how to remove the horns from the core by boiling them. Once the horns are cleaned, dried and Dry Preserved they bondo the horns back onto the core. Tommy starts the mounting process with an already skinned Catalina Goat. In this video they are using a preset eye manikin, but also show how to set eyes when not using a preset eye manikin. Dan then shows how to put the finishing touches on this beautiful goat. A short explanation on basic airbrushing is also included.
