SKINNING, FLESHING & MOUNTING A WIGEON DRAKE STANDING
by Second 2 Nature Taxidermy Supply with Tab Hinton ¾ Hr
Tab starts with a breast incision and skins the duck. We removes the wing bones. The wire wheel is used to flesh and degrease the duck. He then soaks it in soapy water. The eyes are rough set and then the duck is mounted on a urethane body and sewn up. Tab attaches the duck to a piece of driftwood and then injects the wings with denatured alcohol. He then pins everything in place. Painting of the bill and feet finishes this beautiful mount.
