SKINNING, FLESHING & MOUNTING A GOBBLER COMING OFF THE ROOST

Steve starts with a breast incision and skins the bird, including inverting the legs and wings and removing the flight tendon. The bird is cleaned and degreased on a wire wheel, then washed in soapy water, coleman fuel and air dried before tumbling. The Turkey is mounted on a urethane body. Preparing the urethane head – dremeling out eyes, setting eyes and painting is shown. Attaching the urethane head, pinning, taping/carding, grooming and finish work including painting the legs and feet is done.
