by Second 2 Nature Taxidermy Supply with Tab Hinton 1½ Hrs
An economic mount displaying all the Turkey’s trophy parts. Tab starts with removing the legs/feet and tail. He then continues with skinning and removing the shoulder skin. A wire wheel is used to degrease the skin. Then it is washed, dry preserved and tumbled. He injects the feet. Tab discusses how the turkey shoulder form was modified and shows how to add a new backboard into the back of the form. Everything is then attached to a panel. He also shows how to fill in any bare spots with extra feathers. He then prepares a urethane head and installs it after painting. Painting is shown on two heads.
